Hi. My name is Andrew. I'm 22 years old (almost 23), and I live in Cherry Hill, NJ.

I graduated from West Virginia University in May with a degree in Computer Science. I'm currently working as a Systems Analyst Programmer.

I'll be moving to my new apartment next Friday, so then I'll be in Hamilton, NJ, which is much closer to the train I take to work (driving 35 miles to the train station now). Good bye Comcast, hello Optimum Online.

I've been a computer geek since I was 4 years old. Other hobbies are ham radio (I have a license, but I'm not as active with the hobby as I should be) and digital photography. Video games are a good spare-time waster, too. My current game is EverQuest II.

Re: Introductions

I'm Josh from Iowa. 32 years old, married for nine years, two kids. I'm a television broadcast engineer. I'm into computers and anything telecom related. Crunching away on several PC's right now.

Three relatives (my dads dad, brother, and sister) have died of cancer (one colon and two esophagus) in the past few years. Also a nephew on my wife's side died from cancer a year ago after a long painful struggle, he was only five.

I've made it my duty to do this small part by crunchin' for a cure. Hopefully together we can all make a huge difference in the lives of others.

My name is Tom.
I'm 49 years young. I live in Northeast Pennsylvania. I am a modem support tech for RCN Cable. I've been a computer geek for practically as long as there have been personal computers (roughly 32 years). Because the CPUs we have now are so powerful, we all have loads of computer power being wasted. What better use for it then to figure out the mysteries of life.

My name is Ben (big surprise there). I first came here when it was DSLR looking for some broadband connection help & information. I started DC with Seti, which is why I make an annual pilgrimage to S@H to run the latest race for awhile. After awhile I stopped looking for E.T., and started in on G@H. When G@H passed into history, I joined F@H. While F@H is still running strong, I decided to branch out into another project (this one) with some of my boxes.

This is a fitting project for me. I'm a medical physicist involved in radiation therapy for cancer patients.

Hi, I'm Jesse.

I am 13 years old. I know I am young, but I am very technologically oriented. I joined Team Discovery UD to try to help cure some childhood diseases! Myself, I was born with a childhood disease, Cystic Fibrosis, I was diagnosed at 14 months and lived a hellfull life until 10, although I always made the best ouf of the situation and lived a pretty good life, but at age 10 I had a double lung transplant. I had many many problems afterwards which put me into the ICU for 4 months on a ventilator, but eventually got better and now I have the best life I could ask for! I'm a big geek. I currently have 2 crunchers, a dedicated Pentium 3 450mhz, 256mb ram system and a Pentium 4 1.6GHZ system. Oh, and I live in Tucson, az . Also, like I said, I am very technologically oriented. I Can build computers, repair them, take them apart, and I enjoy programming in Java!

Everybody calls me Joe, which is good, because that's my name. I'm going to be 52 this year. I have 4 grown children and one grandchild from previous marriages, and am currently married to third wife, who's been with me for 17 years. I run a PC service and consulting business in Northern NY State on the Canadian border. I also own a record company and a studio that specializes in restoration of vintage recordings and record acoustic Folk and Rock music. Along with that, I'm a Producer for a NYC Jazz and eccentric music label and a senior engineer. For much of my life, I was a professional singer/songwriter/musician/recording artist myself and toured over most of the US and Canada.

My philosophy of life: If you can't care about other people, and love strangers as you would family, then you aren't worthy of being called human. Life is too short to be mean and selfish. I agree with my oldest daughter, Rachel, who has a bumper sticker on her car that says "Mean People Suck!"

It's been a while since this post was created.

Some members have come into our team(little family) and other have stopped visiting our forum.

Just wanted to bump this post for all the new members that wished to introduce themselves and possibly read up on some of the members already here.

And if you are not shy, why not post a picture of yourself here:

Hi, I'm Scott.

I'm a recovering SETIholic. Well, not really. I've cut way back on full time crunching after chewing through a couple of hard drives. Long story.

Anyway, I live in the SF Bay Area in the town of San Ramon.
I'm 35 and I've been married for almost 8 years.

I'm a network performance management type guy at a petroleum company headquartered in San Ramon *ahem*.

So, yah, that's little (well not so little) ol' me!
