I'll be 47 next month. Married to my very patient wife Terri for 17 yrs. I have 2 children son(27) daughter(21) and WE have 1 daughter(13). I am Director of Materials Management at the hospital in Winfield, Kansas where we also live. The hospital also allows me to administer a 75 unit network for them, in my spare time. We lost my mother to leukemia in '84 and my youngest sister was diagnosed with leukemia last month. I've crunched UD, and D2OL prior to switching to TSC, guess I'm hooked.

Ok, I'll bite. Don't think I've posted here since joining TD in Oct. 2002.
My name is Corey and I'm 41. I've been married for 19 years. I have an 18.5 YO daughter and an 17.5 YO son. According to the laws of the State of Wis, I am almost done with my commitment to these children and hope to send them off as upstanding, W2 producing members of society soon!!(well, it's a nice thought isn't it??)
We live in Greenfield Wis (a suburb of Milwaukee) and wonder why we live here all year long (winters seem really long now).
I am a 9-1-1 database admin for a MAJOR RBOC. I have been with them since 1980.....and back then, working for the tel. co. seemed fun to me.
I have no personal story or connection as a reason to join....other than it seems like the right thing to do. I was on SETI for a while, but that's not really 'helping' anyone here on earth. |

My name is Tom, and thanks to this thread, I'm not the oldest one here. 
I retired from the Connecticut State Police as a lieutenant (started really, really young); went on to fly for a regional airline in New England, and married the cutest little flight attendant ... did corporate flying for a while, and got to fly some really nice jets all over the world. Good money, but never home.
Now I'm a boat captain down here in the Florida Keys. Life is good. A german shepherd we rescued from the pound, and a clone to one of tiggers' cats we also rescued - that's the family.
My free time is spent on the Harley, playing guitar, and learning to play America's Army ... I suck at it, but Slash has adopted me and is very patient with me. |

Hello, my name is Dave and I am 45, soon to be 46 years old. I live 22 miles north of Boston, MA in Beverly, MA. I am currently divorced with two children that are adults now. One is 22 and the other is 20. I have two machines crunching for UD. An AMD 2000+ and a Dell Pentium 4 1.4 GHz machine. Both have 512MB RAM and running Windows XP Home edition.

Hi, All. I'm Jack. Turned 50 a few months ago.
I live in the north 'burbs of the Big Apple and have always lived in NYC-Metro area. I work in emergency response as a shift supervisor for a large utility company.
Married(again), have a 27 yr old son in the USN stationed on the west coast, & 4yr old grand-daughter.
Crunchin for the cure with my two machines 24/7.

Still pretty new here and infact i've only been a frequent dslrepots'er for not even a month Found team discovery after finding the spinner fascinating in some of the users at the forums here Been crunching at home ever since but i'm still trying to get my work pc's to run the UD agent properly

My name is Bryan McLarty. I work for SBC, and have been here for 21 years and counting. Feel pretty good being in this group and doing something useful with all those spare cpu cycles just lying around being wasted - just like those poor brain cells that never get stretched. I'm a firm believer in stretching them every day, up until the last day.
My hobbies are building/repairing computers, routers, networking, and bass fishing - not necessarily in that order either.
My dream job would be building and administering a huge routed network that was located on Lake Fork, Tx - oh yeah I would also have to drive to work in my bass boat.
Anyway just glad to do a little extra if I can for a cure. |

My name is Scott. Bare with me, I have a few designations at work. I'm a site system engineer, system security analyst, operations analyst, and I have the thankless job of being on the help desk. I work nights so I'm the only one that can be at the help desk, go figure . I work in the aircraft industry. Business, government and military.
I have my own house and I live with my kitty. She's my baby!
I have a girlfriend that works the same hours, days and at the same place I do. We have Wonderful relationship. She is 8 years older than me, but we are the best of friends and I couldn't ask for anyone better.

Hi, my name is Jim and I currently live on the North Shore in MA. I am crunching for many reasons, but first of all is for my father who died from testicular cancer in 1986. I also had an Aunt who died in 1990 of Breast cancer. So, I think it is a good idea since I am living I shall try to do the best that I can to eradicate cancer with my teammates hear at Team Discovery. Keep on crunching for a cure. |
