I'm Heather B. as in I'm married to a "B" as in bbacher, Capt'n Cruncher. I'm 37  yuk... I work for The Nature Conservancy "saving our last great places" yada yada yada ya... as a fundraiser and professional smoozer.
We have, as someone has mentioned more than once, the best dog in the world, a newfie named Bruno. He's a momma's boy:)! We also have a pretty cool cat named Sam. (Also a momma's boy!) And Bruce has a daughter (and therefore I have a step-daughter), Ellie, who's 12 and pretty darned smart. She's in Texas and we're in Indiana but we do get to see her a good amount of time but not frequently enough.
I'm into gardening at the moment, and wishing there were more hours in the day. |

Before that I graduated from Purdue University at Indiana, and... since coming back home I've been looking for work here in the city. It's a tough road for entry-level people.
As for this group, I'm quite thankful and grateful to be a part of Team Discovery and UD. I know what it feels like to see a family member endure the hardships and trials of cancer, and I hope our collective effort can make a difference in some way. |

| Hello everyone! My name is Brian, but all my friends call me "big bud." I'm in my mid forties, married, and have two "young adults" in college (same school, one year apart). A guineau pig, a lizard, two dogs (a beagle and a basset hound), and some fish out in the pond round out the rest of the household. I work in a chemical manufacturing facility, and am a chief officer on the plant's emergency response team. I also volunteer as a Firefighter/EMT with one of our local fire companies. Oh yeah, I'm a musician, too, in my spare time. It's a pleasure to meet all of you.

Hi all. My name's Greg, I'm 24 years old, and I work full-time-plus-some as an EMT (see icon; note for those who also work as EMT's: I'm not a whacker, I swear) since graduating from Brandeis University last year... have been working as a part-timer for some time now, though. Between that, teaching CPR classes, doing volunteer work, and being part of a federal disaster-relief team, it's a darn good thing I'm single because I don't have much in the way of free time.
I started crunching because lately I've been taking a lot of cancer patients to the ER, and it's made me realize just how horrible the disease can be. Seeing these people suffer, and having lost my grandmother before I ever met her to lung cancer... well, the two made me want to do everything I can in the absence of a PhD in molecular biology to help eradicate it. I have a good connection and a good computer, so hopefully I'll be able to make a good contribution. |

| HI. Im Paolo, from Italy.
I started my crunching experience about 4-5 months ago with SETI. From seti user pages I became conscious of other DR projects, so I decided to dedicate my "hamsters" to something more valueable than ET research (though I am a lover of sci-fi). So I found TSC about 3 months ago.
I joined an italian team (yes, I'm italian, so, please, forgive my bad english). This team has recently "vanished" (no more forum, no more web-site) so here I am on discovery.
I'm 29, graduated in economics and works as an "expert in commercial law" (this is the better translation I found, but my job is peculiar, and i don't think you can find a too close job in other countries).
I love sci-fi, girls (ouch!, well, MY girl), anything with two wheel and an engine, computers |

well, I guess I should introduce myself...
I'm a youngin'! only sixteen years of age, though people have been telling me for years now that I'm wiser than my years. I used to not take that as a compliment, but now I'm learning how much of a compliment that really is.
I'm obsessed with my computers. I love tweaking, fiddling, all that fun stuff. I love figuring out how things work.
My mom and her significant other have AIDS, and I thought this was as close as I could get to helping her and her SO.
I currently have 3.45ghz of RAW CPU power and 2.8 of that is split between two 1600+ XP's so they crunch a little faster than their 1.4P4 brothers 
I love crunching for you guys.

Yes, David here, or "Garbs" -- nickname I got in college. I'm 32 and I live in "New Joi-sey"; of course, I've never said it like that. 
I've been an editor in the pharmaceutical industry for 7 years now (I edit exciting things like allergy TV commercials or arthritis medicine ads you see in some magazines and a multitude of other stuff). What fun.
I'm trying to break into the field of Web editing and I have a Web site that's "under construction".
I also enjoy writing and, well, hangin' out here a lot.
I'm real glad and proud to be a part of this team. I would've joined much sooner had I learned of it earlier -- this is a big place around here.

My birth name is Stephen, but everyone calls me Steve or Stevie (which I hate - not really, though). I'm 48 years young (49 next month), married for 14 years (next month), one joy of our lives, Mollie, age 13, who will be a cheerleader this coming school year (RAH! RAH!). I work as an Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Technician (22 years) and, prior to that, served in the U. S. Navy for 8 years. I live on a sand bar called Galveston along the upper Texas gulf coast. I love to fish, play and watch golf, and root on my favorite baseball team (Houston Astros).
That's about it. I wish I had more computers to devote to the causes. I'm greatly appreciative of all the fine folks here in this wonderful online community and I'm just honored to be a small part.
