Well it looks like our post is having some affect on some members in the UD forum.
This of course is in response to this post.

I just received this letter a few minutes ago and thought it was funny that someone else was trying to recruit me.
I guess they must not have read my post in trying to get people over and join our team

I noticed that you are a relatively newly registered member on the bulletin
board area of United Devices grid.org, and I wanted to extend an invitation
to join our team, TeamLiberty.
Our team offers a unique opportunity for members who wish to not only
participate in this important endeavor, but to also make a powerful
statement about the role that Liberty plays in us being able to harness the
talents, creativity, wealth, and good will of people towards solving the
very critical problems we face.

Our team is unique in that members of Team Liberty span countries and
religions. We are not merely members of a particular company, or university
or government.
Instead, we are a group of people who share a common philosophy that the
most powerful and positive moving force on our planet is the free
individual.
We have the ability, to tackle previously insurmountable problems, problems
which may challenge us personally, or on a much broader scale, by leveraging
the tremendous advances brought to us by our free societies. And we can do
so both as a testament and tribute to our freedom, and also in defense of
the way of life which flows from these liberties.
Our team has an external web page, and grid.org team page as shown above. We
have also set up a very new collaboration zone for team members only which
allow us to send email to the team's distribution list, chat real time,

We would appreciate it if you would consider our team as you consider which
team to join. We think we've developed the right mix of volunteerism and
compelling vision, which makes this more than just software which you run on
your PC.

I think it's really interesting to see that some teams do this and go way out of there way to recruit people.
I have recruited my friends that I know and I have recruited online friends.
But I have never gone to the extent of sending people who I don't even know an e-mail asking for theme to join our club.
My thinking is that if I went to that great of an extent of doing this.
That not only would it take away from the other person’s enjoyment of our club and family atmosphere.
But it would borderline on harassment and spam that I receive daily from other places which I completely despise.
And delete many times without even checking into what it is. |

I agree, slava - it's spam.
We don't need to comprise our integrity for the sake of new members. We should stick to our principles, and we'll prevail in the end.
