Re: [Rant]I've been thinking... Its an amazing amount of time involved to put that together.
Many on the Seti team have gotten together to get the parts, donate money ect.
Research on what boards and cpu's to use.
Where the best prices are.
Testing and burn in of the boards.
Not to mention the cost of running the monster as well as the heat produced by it and the time in maintaining it.
It's alot of work and a major time commitment from some folks.
Thats what I can think of what it takes.

Thanks for jumping in on this Mark....
While I was composing and spell checking my post, there where 2 others made(yours was the first). 
I'm also really happy we have the experience here that went through it all. And if we go ahead with it, we will have a lot of help.

No problem. I actually had some free time today to sit and think about more things than perl and oracle stuff so you got my 2 cents.
Also as a Seti team member and TSC team member, thanks for all your input and visibility you give both of these projects (oh ya.. UD too.)
