| Re: Hope Machine, Do we have a host for it? One suggestion I've gotten through IM from people who've done it before is: spread it out amongst several people. That way one person doesn't take all the hit on electricity, one person doesn't do all the maintenance, etc. In their case it wasn't a matter of having multiple choices for the single host, it was a matter of making "the machine" actually several machines each located in separate places.
I have plenty of space, and I don't mind taking a hit on the electric bill. There are people here more savvy than me, but I've built many computers so I know my way around. The thing I lack most is TIME. I'm willing to make the necessary sacrifices, if other people aren't able to do it.
I expect it would require a lot of time up front, and then less time after it's up and running.
