| NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH!
Hey, I had to give some reason for a pre-noon post. My work computer is merrily crunching away with few cycles left over for anything. And since I'm caught up on my email, I figured I would do the stats update quickly.
United Devices
"Today is the day you have been waiting for."
Today we will pass Microsoft to claim the 12th spot in the team rankings. I took a little look this morning on how the two teams stack up and I came to some general observations.
(1) We have many more members than they do. (2) We have, on average, slower computers than they do. (3) We have lots more computers than they do.
In truth, every little bit counts, even the slower crunchers.
Locally we have only one rank change out of all three stats scores. And that is in the often overlooked area of CPU hours. elias passed Nightfall to claim sweet 16 with a total of 5 years and 63 days of CPU time.
Tuberous Sclerosis Complex
Once again we have a very quiet board when it comes to the top 25 locally with every being good and not trying to cut ahead of everyone in line.
On the global rankings, though, we do have some movement.
Spacemonkey edges downward one place to #99, putting his top 100 ranking in jeopardy.
tiggerstales reclaims her 19th place ranking that she lost yesterday due to mayo's jump higher in the ranks.
And mayo, not content to stay put, obviously has his sights set much higher. He climbs another step higher today to reach #16 on the global rankings.
Conclusion
We didn't have a lot of movement today. But, check back tomorrow as we should have a big announcement to make.
Also, there is the possibility of movement tomorrow within the team. - Will bbacher be passed by MRK? - Can ExcaliburIV's ranking hold up against the onslaught of Matrix? - Will Equinox fall to Buel77? - Will Spacemonkey fall even further in the global stats?
Find out the answers to all of these tomorrow on the next stats update.
