Hi,
I am in chicago and have currently been using northpoint/megapath for almost a year. I have had only like 2-3 downtimes with northpoint/megapath during the year. I have been super happy with the speeds since I can only get 144k up and down on idsl. Its a lot nicer than dialup. I am hopeing that things will continue to go well after the "Switch" happens between northpoint and rhythms. I am not sure why they need to come to my house to install a new circuit though?? can someone please explain this to me? I figured all they would have to do is switch the information on there end and possible in my router but not have to mess with anything else.

Bouncing like mad here in Hoffman Estates, IL. I seem to be up.... but it's hard to tell for quite how long -- and since it's not reliable in the least (synch loss being reported by my Netopia every 1.5 minutes) I might as well be down entirely.
No word on my replacement circuit.
