AS SOON AS I FOUND OUT THAT COMCAST WAS JACKING UP THE PRICE I LOOK INTO A DIFFERENT ALTERNATIVE. DSL WAS ALL OF A SUDDEN AVAILABLE IN MY AREA SO I SIGN UP AND DUMP COMCAST RIGHT AWAY......WHAT SO FUNNY IS THAT WHEN I SPOKE TO COMCAST CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE ASK WHY I AM DUMPING THEM. THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOW THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DUMP THEM AS SOON AS THE JACK UP THE PRICES OR HAVE THEIR OWN CABLE. THEY WANT ME TO PAY A LOCAL CHANNEL CABLE FOR $6-8 DOLLARS WHERE I CAN'T GET IT FOR FREE.. THEY ARE FULL OF SHIT... |

Customer cancellations = less customers = lower saturation of HFC network = no need to perform network upgrades. |

Anyway, what comcast is doing is pretty shitty, they are quickly becoming the one and only provider here in my area (south florida) and that kinda worries me... but its not that big of a deal i suppose becuase bellsouth installed a remote co in my neighborhood so i have DSL now 
and comcast CANNOT be worse than adelphia... i paid $50 for 256/28 1-way cable download dialup upload until i got dsl... |
