Of Comcasts STUPID mistake.
Many many people will move to verizon. I know one personally that WAS in the process of moving to comcast, looks like his plans will have changed now.

| Not necessarily: many of us don't have a choice. I am living in Comcast land and in an area that has seen thousands of homes built in the last 5 years. Guess what? Verizon never upgraded their lines and DSL isn't available.

It may look that way because you are in that situation, but in many many many places, verizon and comcast are duking it out bigtime. Especially here in the DC area.
You have a newer home are you sure fiber isnt around there?
