Really? I use Musicmatch on my PC and it works great. I really like how it rips cds into mp3s and the format in which it does it. I usually rip a cd on the pc then transfer it to the mac.

I wonder if the Windows version of iTunes will be free and if it will rip cd's to m4a files, or will it be a stripped version just for playing Apple's stuff.
I'm also curious as to whether or not it will be faster on my PC than on my Mac. |

Itunes on the PC has some pretty good competition. I know I have used Winamp since the day it was introduced and it is by far the best player I have ever used.

Just sucks that the developer discontinued it , but that hasn't stopped it from working.

Ok, maybe you havn't noticed but, most people that don'y use mac.. hate them. Personally I would use it. I doubt many people would. Basically what Apple needs most is a single program instead of QT, iTunes, iMovie, iDVD.

Like the iPod was "just another MP3 player". Now it is number 1 on Windows and Mac. Face it, Apple knows how to make great software, they also know how to make crap software. I hope they make some real crappy software for all you PC users. If they don't, I hope you are forced to pay to get the best MP3/MP4 player in the world. WMP and WinAmp are complete garbage compared to iTunes.

That would be the stupidest idea apple could use. The reason why they have all the apps separate (but still connected, see iLife) is because they want the apps to be fast, not hog memory, and simple to use. When I want to make a movie, I open iMovie, when I want to look at pictures, i go to iPhoto. Simple, eh? Also, not many people use Macs, but as you can see with the iPod, people like Apple.

I use a mac laptop and hate the hardware (and a little bit of the software) with a passion. I also own a iPod
