EarthLink-Time Warner members, limit notice

This is a response from EarthLink Electronic Support.

I have seen the postings about the letters from Time Warner.

If any EarthLink customer receives one of these letters please contact me. I will need your email address and a copy of the letter or email you received (along with the full headers).

Thanks, I have not seen any EarthLink members yet receive this letter and the answer at this time is EarthLink does not currently limit the download.

Everyone knows items can change in the future. So, I have no information if this is going to change in the future.

Please respond to this post to let us know if your issue is resolved. If you have any further problems, questions, or concerns please feel free to contact us via the live chat link below.

It's just a matter of time, isn't it ?? If not, EL could gain LOTS of new customers.

So far, only people in Nebraska, where the 1st report of it here was made, and in my area of "Western Ohio" TW have gotten "the letter".

Who remembers when Earthlink first announced this service over TW/RR lines and it was a MUCH lower monthly limit ?? I want to say it was 10gb/2gb, downl and up. It was in the paper bLink magazine we *USED* to get, in the electronic/website version of bLink, and on EL's website for a while...

Their archives don't go back far enough... It was in bLink 3-4 months before it was available *anywhere*. I'm guessing the Fall of 2001 ??

Earthlink Electronic Support Response

This is a response from EarthLink Electronic Support.

Thanks for reminding me. I got sidetracked and forgot to post in the other group.

Yes, Hall. You are correct. When the Cable was released it was announced with limits. The information was in the Blink magazine when the Time Warner Cable first began.

Re: EarthLink-Time Warner members, limit notice

Sounds like more proof that you should never trust a broadband technology that's streamed in over the same connection that brings you The Jerry Springer Show, The Bachelor/The Bachelorette, The Anna Nicole Show, that fatass Star Jones on The View, and any and all Brady Bunch reunion shows.
