 | Interland Host / ASP Cache issues I did a site for a friend for her non-profit group. It's done in all ASP/VB Script and pretty basic.
The issue is now that the hosting company seems to have the cache control set to 'every 12 hours' or something. Literally, I can delete a file via FTP and i can still see it 30 minutes later.
I wrote them and their reply was: All servers are set to Cache ASP pages. Because ASP uses alot of system resources, and you are in a shared enviorment the option to set Cache on the server is needed.
Well, duh, but i think the fact that we can delete or edit anything in any sort of 'real time' is amazing. I have been using this host for years and this is the first major problem I have come across.
i am not sure much longer this file will be up here... but i deleted it at 7:05EST and it's still there: »trich.org/test.asp
can you see this?

Although I wasn't totally unhappy with them, that's one of the reasons I recently moved to another hosting provider. I'm getting much better response from my new provider (not to mention MUCH better customer support).
BTW - 7:50 EST and I can still see the file. |

 | amazing. 12:08. I can still see the file. good golly. |
