| Re: Shipping With UPS From The States - BEWARE! You'll get those fees with USPS too, unless it's being sent via priority mail. Basically if it's not being sent priority, there's a large chance Canadian customs will seize the package and charge PST/GST + $5.00 handling fee.
If FedEx/priority mail is too expensive, I'd suggest having the items sent to a friend/family in the US, then have them send it to you. If a package is coming from an individual instead of a company, there's less risk of being charged, and even if you are charged, getting a refund from Canada Post isn't too difficult. As long as it's from a private home. |
