| reply to J D McDorce Re: 9 mbit might be in out future?!
said by J D McDorce : While I can't speak for Verizon, I know that my SBC DSL connection uses the sprintlink.net backbone. There may be cases where Comcast leases feeders to the backbones from the RBOCs.
In northern NJ Comcast leases from AT&T, which isn't in competition with Comcast. In S. NJ they use Sprint. Personally, I'm thrilled that they use AT&T where I am. I am on the same backbone as the VPN server at work, so I have like 5 hops from my computer to the VPN server. -- Cable survey results: »mywebpages.comcast.net/mbernste/···rvey.htm Watch Comcast execs get grilled: »mywebpages.comcast.net/mbernste/···ing.html |

| reply to mbernste Some of us on @home were at 3-5mbps before att came in and capped it at 1.5. I dont feel like im getting special treatment. I had that service like 4 or 5 years ago. When they were saying "Cable Sucks". |
