| Westell modems with SBC Yahoo DSL I am considering getting a second modem and (for reasons I've explained in my other posts about sync problems) would like to get a Westell.
Does the Westell 36R516 work with SBC DSL? Are there any models that I should avoid?

| Are you on a CO or RT line.
The reason is, the Westell is worth it's weight in gold on CO lines, but actually perform badly on real clean RT lines. It seems the Westell is programmed to expect a certain amount of db loss, which clean, close RT lines don't have. | |

Thanks for that info. I could see the 36R516 having an issue because that uses an Alcatel chipset which is older.
The 2000 series for Westell use TI chipset. I would think those would work but can't say for sure. | |
