tyler00Premium join:2001-06-27 Pickering, ON | How to make a cue sheet for a bin file? Well I have a bin file I want to burn with nero, but the only way I know of to burn is to go file, burn image, then select the cue sheet. But the cuesheet I have for the bin keeps saying there is an error at line 3 opening it so like how do I make my own cue sheet for the bin file? Thanks |

 | open the cue sheet in notepad and edit the filename so there is no path info included.
this is a cue sheet for a basic burn that does not include any kind of extra's like chapters on a SVCD.
FILE "file name here.bin" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 TRACK 02 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:06:00
if you see FILE "c:/file name here" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 TRACK 02 MODE2/2352 INDEX 01 00:06:00
that would be wrong and needs the path information removed. |

Get Alcohol 120%, a program that allows you to do it quick and easy.»forum.alcohol-software.com/index···0d7699ab
Or burn the bin file in 'raw data mode' using Nero. -- I am 'The Wise' as what I speak reaches further than the abyss of space. |

 | reply to tyler00 Easiest and safest and most reliable way...if its a movie extract the mpg with IsoBuster and then use it with VCDEasy to make a new bin and cue. |
|
 | No, easiest way is to follow dumwaldo 's advice -- Keep it pithy, if you wish to opine. |

|
 | it is good to open the cue file and correct it because there might be info in the cue file that you don't want to loose. its most common with SVCD's.
if your cue file looks something like this...
FILE "filename.bin" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 FLAGS DCP INDEX 01 00:00:00 TRACK 02 MODE2/2352 FLAGS DCP INDEX 00 00:07:08 INDEX 01 00:09:08 INDEX 02 00:09:09 INDEX 03 04:58:23 INDEX 04 15:46:23 INDEX 05 19:29:11 INDEX 06 20:38:25 INDEX 07 25:06:74 INDEX 08 27:50:26 INDEX 09 34:48:37 INDEX 10 37:45:43 INDEX 11 43:03:00 INDEX 12 47:23:41 INDEX 13 48:51:04 INDEX 14 50:30:40 INDEX 15 53:16:28 INDEX 16 57:31:23 INDEX 17 60:19:28 INDEX 18 64:17:12 INDEX 19 66:31:24 INDEX 20 70:41:38 INDEX 21 73:04:43 INDEX 22 75:09:23 INDEX 23 78:17:15
burning in raw data mode will trash the chapters. |

|
 | if there is no cue file at all then use the other methods described.
it just makes no sense to me to have the cue file and not use it. |

| Well, burning in Nero's "raw" mode didn't work... My Apex recognized it as a VCD disc, but went into "Pause" mode and wouldn't leave it.
I searched this forum for more info on "cue" and found reference to a little app called "MakeCue.exe". It seemed to work.... Let me try the SVCD I just burned...
Just checked: Seemed to work fine.
Another on in full-screen format... Quite a bit off-center too... -- -= Mindspring MaxDSL via Covad 1536/384 TeleSurfer Pro =- [text was edited by author 2003-06-21 12:08:57] |
