| Cyberstation, To be or Not to Be
Ok, well I've now had Cyberstation DSL for oh, id say 3-4 months, and have had a few run-ins with them. First off, Their new T1, yea right, thats what they've been saying since, oh, let me see, NOVEMBER. So No dice on that. Secondly Lets talk about The Reliability of the DSL, well today is April 15, so on April 14th at 7:30 PM My dsl went down AGAIN and it did not come back up till around 3am April 15th...For something that is supposed to be connected 24/7 that sure dont seem like 24/7 to me. Ok, now once in a while is ok, and i wouldnt mind it going down every few months, but theres a catch! This is the 6th time my dsl has gone down for a minimum time of 1hr in the past 4 days! Ok, 6 times down in 4 days, NICE Connection! Two thumbs up on that one Chris! (Btw Andy And Matt are the only two techs you have that are any good)Ok, Next Matter of Business besides the Absolutely HORRIBLE reliability. The Speed! Ok, im paying for an advertised 1.5mb Download DSL! Cool, sounds good dont it? huh uh, not gonna happen. I D/L on avg around 25k a sec. Yes, that is better then my 56k, but I do know of many times that i have Gotten D/L as low as 5k a sec. My 56K usually got around 6k a second (and when i told one of your techs that chris, he bluntly called me a liar and said 56k can only got at a max of 4k ...so you didnt get that much), well i believe i know how much i have downloaded at, but whatever, yall know everything right? Anyways, I just did a DSL Speed check from both places right here on DSL Reports, and i was right at 310 up 100 down, nice D/L for an advertised 1.5mb down and a 100 UP??? WTF is that??? Thats like not much better then 56k's up...my lord! SO i guess my question is this: When are you guys gonna get your act together and do something about this crap? The speeds are horrible, the Reliabily is so bad its sickening. The Tech Support is decent if u can get Matt or Andy. Heres the Bottom Line of the Whole Thing. If you can pay the huge amount for Web Fire DSL GET IT, its about 3000 Times better then Cyberstation (i know from personal exp), yet it costs 600 dollars to get (which will hopefully change soon and i can switch), but until then im stuck here with CS, Which is better then 56k Yes, when it is up. I wont say everything bad with no good. Yes Majority of the time it is up, and it is better then 56k, but still not anywhere close to what DSL speeds should be. Well, thats all i have to say about that matter, Now its your Turn Chris...What do you have to say? |
