I agree with the rhino. I had cyberstation dsl for about 8months and it was horrid. It would go down like he says and you couldnt browse the web or do anything until it got back up. My dsl with cyberstation went down for 2 and a half weeks, yes i said TWO.
I averaged 5-15k/sec downloads when i should have been getting 130-150k. Thier tech support is horrid like the rhino says, you might as well get a bat and start beating on your modem to fix it; thats about as good as cyberstation tech support is.
For online gaming i constantly pinged over 200ms to servers in dallas,tx (two hours from my house) and constant packetloss.
While on 1.5Mbps / 384k Cyberstation dsl i would ping on average 45ms to my GATEWAY. I should have been pinging 10ms on my own gateway. Now with 768k / 384k webfire dsl I ping around 20ms to cyberstations gateway. That is LOWER than cyberstation users get to thier own gateway.
All in all I recomend webfire, southwestern bell, or quik dsl over cyberstation. Infact I recomend 14.4k AOL dialup over cyberstation dsl. |
