Oh really? When you signed up for service, were you asked which backbone you wanted to connect to?

Comcast (NOT the subscriber) contracts for the backbone. It most certainly IS their responsibility to see that their contracted services are performing properly!

You make a good point there. However, given Comcast tech's track record I think it will probably get fixed faster if you go straight to AT&T.

Today I got a call from some lady from Customer Advocacy Team who called and left a message on my answering machine saying "We are currently working on your problem, why did you complain to the BBB?" (not in those exact words) and I called right back and told her why. I told her about Robin and how she never returned 2 of my calls (read my first post in this forum for more information about Robin and what I had to go through to get Comcast to admit their was a problem). I'm sure she had all that information in the complaint the BBB sent her. I guess Yesterday 6/25 was BBB response day. At least this time it took Comcast about 2 weeks to respond to my complaint instead of 3 months when I complained back in December.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a good way to complain about network routing issues and have them taken seriously? As I see it we complain to Comcast and they shrug it off because they think its unimportant (since you can still (slowly) browse the internet) or it will fix itself.

The problem with complaining to AT&T is that they would have no motivation to fix the problem since you are not their customer. Their only motivation would be to see to it that their network is functioning properly. (Which should be good motivation, but if they have other things to do for their customers, they will put this on the back burner.)

Well, I guess I agree, but I think there doing the best tehy can. I meen, I get 125 channels plus all the intrenot stations too.

Thanks Ki1o I think this one was just me, its better... for the time being =)) I still have not changed the status of bbb report to resolved till they split the node or rewire my neighborhood...every tech that comes to my house (probably 8+ a year...comcast cannot be making money off me) says that they have more trouble in my neighborhood then in any other because of a combination of old wiring and overloaded nodes

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen until you see MEET THE OPERATOR, their you will see the names of different people at management in Atlanta. If you want to email them, Comcast email addresses are in the forum of FirstName_LastName@cable.comcast.com. So if you wanted to email Bill Connors, VP, Atlanta region you would type Bill_Connors@cable.comcast.com Email one of the names on that web page and let them know about the problems with your connection.
