Yeah, it works fine with Xten-Lite on G.711, but for outgoing calls only. |

@216.150.x.x | I have not been able to get anything other than dialing out. The remote phone rings, but there is never any connection established on the soft phone side.
Were there any other settings you had to change? |

Sip in general with an ATA can seem conflict using two devices behind NAT. You cannot choose port forwarding -- and that is a good idea when the option is there.
My service allows 3 real world IPs. If I tried iCH with an ATA and Vonage, I would have problems unless I used a hub and let the ATA get its own IP.
Later I experimented with a second Router, and experimented with running with both routers using NAT but linking them for local IP interaction -- that was problematic. (I also got the second router to experiment with wireless -- USR8022)
My final answer was to email Vonage and ask to switch the ATA to 8062/8063. I left my iCH ATA using 5060/5061, and never seriously cared about a soft phone. The USR8022 I am using without NAT, my RP614 is my NAT to the real world and is my DHCP server. It had keyword blocking and such that cuts down many annoying pop-ups.
The important thing to consider is that if you are trying to run the SAME account in two places at once, you cannot specify alternate ports, and you likely will have side-effects. You really need to do without one device, or get a second account. With a second account, does P8 allow different ports? Or does it traverse NAT more competently?
On the flip side P8 allows multiple DTA310s to ring the same number. Some people do that here. VoicePulse also, I believe, allows that with an ATA. My best guess is that they send the same initiation to more than one registered phones. That would also seem like someone could fake another connection and piggyback on your account -- however they likely authenticate the MAC address, and could also ensure one device per by assigning each known phone a different port assignment. -- jim, Vonage User, iCH user, WideOpenWest, and a fan of LINUX and Windows in that order.
