| reply to dreamword Yup, that's exactly how it works. Whichever picks up first gets the call. This is a pretty good substitute for call waiting, since when I'm on a call on my DTA and have a softphone running, the softphone still rings when I get a call even though the DTA doesn't do call-waiting yet.
Also, there is the potential for abuse; the eStara phone, for instance, has three lines, and you can be on all three, plus the DTA, at once. Of course, at that point, I ran out of bandwidth and all four calls became choppy. But it works. There's something else this allows, too, but I want packet8 to stay in business so I'll keep my damn mouth shut . |
