|  Comcast replacing my cable modem
FYI!! I called up Comcast the other day to complain about the extermely slow connection speeds and mentioned that I had a PCX 1100. The tech told me that they have had "firmware issues" with it and are coming out today to give me a new modem. So if you have a PCX 1100 call and get a new modem. Hope it solves the problem. (keeping my fingers crossed) |

| It probably won't solve the problem. Many people in Atlanta are having a high ping problem (read this forum »Comcast of ATLANTA, SHAMEFUL!!!!!)
But if you are renting your modem from Comcast, go for it, let them replace it and let us know if that improves your connection or not.

Comcast guy came out and huffed and puffed but finally swapped my modem out with a motorola sb 4200. Seems to work fine but we'll see |

I have never had any prbs with my pcx1100 she is working hard even though i live in an apartment complex and almost everyone has a cable modem and service with comcast  |
