Stonebriar Mall - Frisco

Has anyone ever been to Stonebriar Mall in Frisco?

I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like an oversized daycare center! Seriously! Strollers and toddlers (not accompanied by parents) as far as the eye can see!

I don't like going into that mall unless I absolutely have to...I'm too afraid I'm going to accidentally punt a kid!

Personally, I prefer Collin Creek Mall in Plano. Not too big, not too small, not too ghetto, and NEVER as crowded as Stonebriar. Not even during the holiday season.

I used to live a mile down the road from the Stonebriar mall. I think it's a great mall. The daycare thing -- well, I think that's just indicative of the fact that the majority of the people in Frisco are young families. You can really go anywhere in Frisco and see the same thing. I think Collin Creek mall is a hole and have heard of bad things happening in the parking lot over there at night.

I think I'd rather punt a kid.

Really? What kind of bad things? I have never had a bad experience there, but you got me interested, now...

I think it was a couple of years ago during the holidays -- the usual holiday stuff. Cars getting broken into, etc. I think someone got raped there, too, but that would've been a couple of years ago.

Hmm...I've never had a problem with Collin Creek mall nor have I ever had cause for concern. Perhaps that stems from a license I carry issued by DPS that lets me pack heat. 230,000 other Texans must be on to something.

I live in Plano... I don't care for malls in general, but Collin Creek is alright, my wife actually works there and I'm not 'overly' concerned about her there at night.

I do agree about the DPS license... that card and my trusty Glock 27 go with me everywhere

Remember there was a shooting by that mall a few months ago ... robbery at the 'big&tall' store on the east side of the mall (in the strip by jason's deli, compusa, etc..) ... off-duty cop shot the would-be robber.
