This is the one, that I have decided to go with organization wide at work, it has not let me down yet, very high Joule rating with 2350 joules.

If everybody wanted me to, I couldn't promise anything, I might be able to get these at even a lower cost than listed on the site, with my Account Manager at CDW.
I wouldn't be able to talk to him though, till next week. If you needed phone protection though, that would be the super7tel, which adds about $10 to the cost, but my censes it, that most will have an ethernet connection to the blades correct?
I might also mention, that this stip has a huge 7 foot cord on it, so power placement usually isn't a concern with this one.

I say either APC, or the one I recommended Tripp-Lite, some of the trip-lites like the one I suggested over at the project website, have higher ratings than even the APC's, at a lower cost. |

As far as the UPS goes - I don't really see a need to waste money on that. A few lost hours during a power blackout is NOT worth the money - considering that the money could be used to help build another crunching machine. Surge protection is utterly important, but backup is NOT.
I would much prefer any money that we would spend on UPS go toward buying more parts for more crunchers.
I agree babacher, I was seeing they were already planning on getting some 350's, and a 350 is not enough to keep an XP 2500 up, to allow a proper shutdown, I think surge protection is good enough as well. |

| reply to Slava I've run into other online businesses that won't ship to any address but the credit card address. In my case, I wanted the shipments sent to my work address since nobody is home during the day to receive the package and I didn't want it sitting on the front porch (or me having to drive to the terminal to pick it up). I've found it to be about a 50/50 chance of them doing it or not.
