Windows Explorer wants net access Zone Alarm?

Click for full size

Explorer keeps attempting to act as a UDP server. this is nearly a fresh install of XP. I've installed a few programs from CD.

Wordperfect 8 -- Old backup copy *
Paintshop 5.0 -- Old CD-R *
Nero 5.5 -- internet directly from nero. com
WS_FTP -- download.com *
AVG 6.0 -- Directly from main site.
Goggle Toolbar Bata (removed) (main site)
Spybot (main site)
Spywareblaster (main site)
Spywareguard (main site)
netview (troginhunter site)

The files with the star aren't on the other XP Home system it doen't have these problems.

I forgot to mention it pops up when I attempt to access the network shares on another computer. I have disabled

Netbio TCP/IP Helper and NetBio over TCP.

It appears to be calling for a DNS to my Router..

I use IPX/SPX Netbios LWlink protical and support.

Block it. No need for your OS Browser to get out to the INTERNET.

After all thats what your Internet browser is for.

Have you added your other computers to your Trusted Zone. Then i would probably allow Windows Explorer Trusted Zone only.

Ok thanks. I'd like to shut off Explorer from access. Seems that something hijacked it or something.

Then again when it loads it's active ports reports it as either unknown program or svchost. networking is working would be nice to see where its attemptinf to connect to.

Not necessarily it is normal for it to ask, as the saying goes just say no.
