100 packets to my gateway, 0% loss.

The problem has been off and on..so I'm not sure if this shows the issue has been resolved.

Re: Packet Loss Back In Cleveland-Am I the only on

I was calling my local office...then got transfered like two times...( sorry about exact phone number ). I just went threw all this again by the way...and the messege said the same thing....but I mentioned the Ohio deal to the person I talked to, he said they are still working on it...they just about got it solved....but some areas might still have problems...but they are working like crazy on it. Hope thats good news for you guys in Ohio......So, I went and bought a SB5100 and I'm now running on that...I'll see if I notice any difference, but it kicked right off here in Pa. with no problem.

Was calling I guess a level 2 tech. support to find out if the SB5100 will work in this area....( by the way, they say it will work in all areas ) At first the recording said They are working on the entire Ohio service area...at least you know they are working on it...later.
Did the recording say why they were working on the entire Ohio area? What number did you call?

Thanks...

Re: Packet Loss Back In Cleveland-Am I the only one?

My speed since last Thursday 384/4.
I'm getting timeouts when loading web pages. Supposedly tomorrow a tech is supposed to come out because they are convinced it is on my end. We will see.

I posted a thread about ebay a few days ago with a traceroute from cleveland. I was thinking the problem was just eBay but it seemed to be everything after a while and there was some packet loss.

I'm still getting some timeouts but not as bad as it was, still annoying. Here is my latest trace to yahoo. This isnt nearly as bad as it was last time I checked.

What i don't understand and tried to explain is that its happening to allot of people in my city so one would think its a bigger issue but they are acting
like they don't believe me and it just my residence.
That is the frustrating part! The tech is focused on you and you alone. Hopefully they'll catch on. The good news is that problems -up to this point - have not persisted in Cleveland.

I'm not from Cleveland but its my local peering point.
I'm having the same problems you guys/gals are i just
got done talking with tech support they tested my modem
and even though my speeds are great im showing packet
loss so they set up a truck roll for July 22.
What i don't understand and tried to explain is that
its happening to allot of people in my city so one
would think its a bigger issue but they are acting
like they don't believe me and it just my residence.

I'm not sure this is adelphia related. I have some slow loading sites but my speed tests are 2900 down and 120 up.

Yes, something is definitely going on. Major web page timeouts (although mail is working fine). I can't run a line quality test because my router won't respond to pings, but I don't need to do that to know something changed. Probably started sometime this weekend.

Ace, did your IP change from a 24.50 to a 68.171? Mine did. Just wondering.

Packet loss is back... I don't game or do anything else intensive, so unnoticeable loss wouldn't bother me, but I'm timing out when loading web pages and sometimes have difficulty sending/receiving email...anyone else?

»/quality/nil/1109645

PS..The same thing happened last week, then after 2 calls to TAC that went to level 2, the problem just cleared up and everything was fine. At that time, when sending 100 packets to my default gateway I was getting 50% loss...today it's 2% and the line quality test sucks again..
???
