| I've added triplets to my family....
of 1/18 scale diecast cars....
Anyone else here collect 'em ?
I kind of like the Prowler the best but the detail on the Vette and Ferrari is awesome... |

| reply to Robert Hi Robert...
I purchased about 50% when I journey to Bangor or Portland, Maine. In Maine I usually get them from KaBee Toys or Toys R Us where I usually pay $14.95 (USA $$$).
I purchased the Prowler at KaBee Toys in Portland for $14.95. It was an Hot Wheels kit that you must assembly yourself. The Vette I got at Toys R Us in Bangor for $14.95 (USA $$$).
The Ferrari I picked up last week at Wal-Mart in Halifax. It was marked down to $14.95 (Canadian $$$).
The most I paid for a 1/18 diecast was a 1962 Vette. I got it for $39.95 (Canadian $$$), Toys R Us, Mic Mac Mall, Dartmouth NS.
The cheapest was a 1984 Corvette for $10.00 at Wal-Mart in Halifax. Wal-mart tends to have alot of these marked down for clearance on occassion...
I find Toys R Us in Canada to be very expensive. In the States they seem to be cheaper....
Cheers

2002 was actually the last production year (although only a handful were shipped to Canada)

| An Hemi (of course it's the new Hemi and NOT the 426 monster of the 1960's-70's) would be awesome in a Prowler. I say a car magazine where a guy swapped in a small block Chevy and another with a Viper V-10. I don't know what they did about the rear trans-axle (Prowlers have a rear mounted trans-axle in lieu of a front mounted transmission).
One thing I don't like about the Prowler is how high the front bumpers sit. I know it's safety regulations that dictates this but the front bumper looks a little out of place. Some hot rodders remove this bumper. |
