Infoseeker-I asked the same questions you are asking back on like page 9, and still no intelligent answers. Just adolescents like shilkshock spouting their nonsense. If you do indeed find the answers to those questions please emaail me at buduanballer@hotmail.com.
I'm interested in facts, not opinions of morons. |

| reply to infoseeker4 Infoseeker-In searching for the truth, be careful of folks like Buduan. There are several on this thread that absolutely MUST be current employees of Norvergence by the things they say. I'm just a 20 yr. Teleco guy that considerd a job at Norvergence. I certainly don't have "inside information", but am amazed that EVERYONE can't see the scam before them. All I can say is it's all about the lease, not a "telecom solution". Call it whatever you want, but this has very little to do with a professional analysis of a prospect's needs and a proposal with detailed solutions. |

| reply to infoseeker4 I wanted to comment on a couple of points in your post. First, if you disconnect the Matrix, you don't make phone calls anymore. Now I did read a couple of people complaining that that is putting all your eggs in one basket. I would like them to explain that argument, because every Mpower, Allegiance, Telepacific, Etc. integrated T1 will be useless if you disconnect the hardware. Now, with those companies, you are renting their hardware too, they just don't come out and say it. It is built in to the pricing. Do you have a phone at home? You are renting the phone line that you call on - you never get to own it. So I don't know what the big deal is about "renting".
Some of the people posting on this board are getting WAY too upset. Why is that? Just go outside for a while. Shilkshock, aren't there any parks where you live? -J.M. |

| Johnny M,
I truly understand that no matter who I have service from, I OWN nothing. I am simply paying a price ( rent, a lease, whatever) for the use of the lines and the network. Clearly, there are deals all the time, and most of them lock you in for a period of 1 or 2 years, with stiff exit fees. The 5 year deal here is a little long, but again, I recognize that there is no basic difference from my deal with my Verizon reseller....except ONE. NorVerence doesn't stay on the contract, and the leasing company only leases me the box.....which accomplishes nothing if there isn't payment of the monthly fees for the cellular and other service I am getting. From what has been posted above, I need to have that payment made every month or my service is toast!
When I thought that NorVergence was paying 5 years up front I was less concerned. Hey...just tell me exactly what happens if I sign up and NorVergence goes away...either because they go out of business, or the dish runs away with the spoon? Please don't answer, "well they are growing...blah, blah, blah", or "Hey they aren't going anywhere". Just answer the question honestly. I may still go with them, but I really need to understand the risks first, so I am not caught with my pants down. |

| Johnny M & Buduan are employees of Norv. so all you will ever hear from them is "well they are growing...blah, blah, blah", or "Hey they aren't going anywhere". That is what they are told to post here, the head script writer at Norv. probably came up with their B.S. |

| reply to Johnny_M As for people getting WAY too upset, your posts are a prime example of that. We get it, you are just trying to defend your employer, Norvergence, but there many others who don't like their business practices and are just trying to make people aware of the RISKS. |

| reply to shilkshock As I stated much earlier in the thread, Yes, I would like to sell this product in the role of an Agent, but I will never work as a direct employee of a telecom company again. There is no need to. My commissions and current income are not affected by this 800 Lb gorilla as much as yours must be, but a year or so down the road, they may be. That is why I am looking farther down the road. I do think that they are shaking up the telecom world with this way of doing things, by reading this thread it is obvious. But that's business - Adapt or get left behind.
When I talk to my peers in the industry, they all agree that the competitive carriers will need to change the way they operate to deal with this new environment. NorV will not run out of potential customers any time soon. As long as the other competitive carriers are still selling, NorV will have a steady diet of customers, probably yours. |

Re: Norvergence Scam Mismanagement -- exit strategy
I have a cousin who works at Novergence's large call center in NJ. There's a ninty percent turnover there. Management manages by intimidation. Threats of all kinds.
If you're a minute late for work, you lose serveral hundred dollars. Besides not being paid commissions, management can't seem to find out a way to get three hundred people out of the company at quitting time. There are working under overcrowded conditions, too.
He writes:
"We pass through a small door and enter room, where we sign out on sheets tapped on the wall. We don't write our names in. We just scribble the time in.
Sometimes the sheets are not in alphabetical order.
It takes nearly twenty minutes for three hundred people to sign out. We often miss our trains and buses to go home.
If we don't sign in and out each day we lose our "attendance bonus", which for many employees represents several hundred dollars. (We are marked absence)
If we complain in the company they ask us to leave (fired!).
My question is how do I go about remedying the situation? The office is crowded, queues too close together, little aisle space."
Anyone got any ideas?

InfoSeeker,
You will fond many people on this board with strong statements against Norvergence and several "Anonymous" statements of praise. The problem with those statements are the fact many of them are "plants" written by employees.
I have never worked for them but went through the process (Interview) and learned that much of the information given during the meeting was lies. Considering myself to be highly intelligent I almost got blind sided until I received a phone call from someone in my shoes also accepting a position until some research was completed.
You can read back through the string to see what I am saying. Like a good lawyer read what you are going to sign. They (Screeners) will tell you "no obligation" but listen to the wording..."Until it's installed." They pressure you to sign quickly with a tactic called the "approval process." You want what you can't have and if your accepted you feel special.
Ask a lot of questions. I didn't do this during the interview process and learned a valuable lesson. After the interview I started exploring and asking pointed questions. They couldn't be answered but the "dance lesson" taught me not to trust them.
I have nothing to gain here but I will tell you if a company tells you they have relationships with "XYZ" and you find the don't exist or you ask questions and they can't be answered directly or you read the fine print and it states no warranty or service will be provided by Norvergence and in the case the products becomes defective or is stolen payments are still required and much more no matter how much money you might save in the long run will cost your company when you have to switch over.
Norvergence uses Spring PCS for a majority of the wireless service. Call Sprint and ask about the relationship...Reseller / Agent or just another customer who is buying bulk?
There are many mirrors and a lot of smoke when dealing with them Good Luck! |

| Kaygrey,
Thanks so much for the input. I will do my homework here, and will want to interview them when next I hear from them. I was "approved", so I guess it's time for me to inform them that now they have to go thru my "approval" process. If they bolt, then nothing really is lost. If they hang in there, I will get the answers I need, get some facts (thanks to this board I at least have some idea of what kind of questions to ask, and then make a decision.
I will report back to this Board....I guess you all deserve some follow up.

| Infoseeker,
Do check things out and be carefull of what is posted here.
I almost didn't sign-on with Norvergence because of this thread. Luckely I did my own research and found that what people are posting is half truths. You know, tell enough to make it all seem real.
Because of the commitment we spent a lot of time looking into all aspects. What I can tell you is the people at Nortel, Adtran, Qwest and ATT Wireless all had positive things to say about Norvergence.
I initally talked to ATT rep about cell phones and was told what you read on these posts. The rep didn't have a clue or more likely was going to loose a big commision by loosing us.
Cells are great, calling sounds land line sounds the same, customer service was a bit of a trouble but last couple of calls have been fine.
e-mail me if you would like additional information at connors@consultant.com.

| Connors,
I am not certain to your input. You state Nortel was one who had nothing bad to say, yet I personally talk to Nortel and based my decision not to become associated with Norvergence based on their input. They (Nortel) stated, and I posted the email in the string with the Nortel contact informations, they have no relationship with Norvergence and do not endorse the service. They also stated during a telephone conversation they have notified Norvergence to stop immediately using their name, logo and trademarks. Guess what is missing from the web site and when you go to the Adtran link on the site Adtran has done a great job within a small paragraph that the solution is Norvergence built buy Adtran. Ask one question INFOSEEKER, if the product blows a fuse or becomes inoperable who will repair it. Reading the small print to the "agreement" it last stated Norvergence holds no warranty. INFOSEEK do kep us posted and let us know what you learn and your decision. |

Fool in the fact that I was smart enough to avoid taking a job where the turn over is at 80% and the staff is ran like others describe on the board?...or the fact that I choose not to work for a company who builds itself on deception by claiming relationships which no longer or never really existed?...or that Norvergence sells a product that make false claims and forces Screeners to lie?...or that the Patent Pending technology eliminates all outgoing cost due to some bullshit MATRIX (R) box? What technology takes your cellular service over a so called advance technology avoiding cost? The cellular carriers are interested.
Fools are ones thinking they could build a long and stable business out of deception. They should just say what they are doing and avoid the hype because the hype and deception are what many of us are commenting about.
Fool?

| Kaygrey, he must be an employee posing. Bottom line is that the cheerleaders on this board either are in complete denial of the NUMEROUS red flags, or are choosing to ignore them. If the latter, they are extremely greedy folks that have no trouble lying to customers, or Customers that will do quasi-illegal things to save a buck. By doing so, they are being forced to the sea like Lemmings and falling into the 5 year "pit of despair" lease. Can you believe the stupidity out there. Who in their right mind would sign a 5 year lease on a technology that wasn't even explained by the "Screener". Telecom services have been evolving for years and things(prices) change. It just doesn't make business sense to bank your company's future on an unknown company that although new, is getting a good bashing for employment practices and deceptive sales tactics so early in its growth cycle. |
|
  kaygrey
@voyager.net
| Almostgotme,
I could not agree more. Did anyone ever wonder why in the screener's training they never really talk about the technology just how to sell a marketing name called Matrix? Why during the sales process...first meeting, second meeting, and close, questions specific to the technology aren't answered. Or why they use a script instead of peoples talents to sell? Some would say to create a behavior or mid-set "Approval", others to avoid getting caught in a trap of lies. In fact, from what I have been told by others, many directed question about the technology is side-stepped. I received the side-step treatment when it came to considering employment.
I will agree that in fact Norvergence will save money for companies who sign but for how long and what later expense? I think to stop all the bullsh_ _ on this board is for somebody to explain to us techie or others who challenge the company foundation and technology how this solution is so different, inter-workings, and who is truly behind the company. Until then everyone will keep posting their feelings, speculation and thoughts. |
