The IP address of the WAP has been set to 192.169.0.2

You don't want that IP address on your WAP - you want to be in the same address range that ICS puts the host, so 192.168.0.3 would be good (assuming you have no other machines on your LAN with that IP address), 192.169.0.2 is not.

The IP address that IP config /all shows you is not your WAP, it's your laptop's Wireless NIC - I think you are confusing the two. The address that you got from ipcongfig /all is perfect - don't touch it.

Ignore the 1394 thing - it's nothing to do with what we are doing. Same for Local Area connection - that's probably your ethernet adapter. The only thing we need to be concerned about is your Wireless adapter. Because you have those other adapters and XP - it's going to try to set up your wireless connection as "bridged" and you don't want that. So is your wireless NIC currently shown as bridged or not? You'll have to answer the questions as I don't have an XP laptop in front of me to refresh my memory on.
