| Did You Notice Change?
After reinstalling 4.0.3.9 today, the DW Diagnostic Properties changed. Can't remember all the entries there, but the annoying "Browser & Proxy Configuration" tests disappeared. This is GOOD news. -- SRS|G4R|1370H|4.0.3.9C|PROXY|Tweaks|Win98SE|IE6 SP1|128m |

| That's interesting. I still have them right where they always were. Of course, they don't cause me any problems since I turned the useless things off the very first day I had the system. I really don't need it to notify me every time the stupid proxy decides to stop functioning - it's pretty evident... -- The GWR Guy / DirecWay SRS / SM5 970 / 4.0.3.9 DAK403_P14 proxy ON port 83 / Host: 733 mhz VIA Samuel 2, 384 MB, Win2K SP4, ComTun 4.3a Proxy & Firewall, FapMon 2.0b / Clients: 1 Win2K, 1 ME, 2 Win98SE / |

tpanc13, Your sig says that you normally use the proxy. Now that the 'proxy nag' has disappeared, can you still use proxy? I'm guessing that you can't.
If proxy is not usable, look in your Direcway/Bin folder and see if you have a Servinfo file. It may also be 'disappeared'. Even though you may prefer to disable it, that Browser and Proxy Configuration utility is supposed to be there. If it isn't, your installation is faulty. You may have more trouble than you are aware of. CM -- Earthlink SRS, G4R 970, XP Pro/SP1, 512MB SDRAM, ICS, w/1 XP Home/SP1 client, 4.0.3.9/P8, RSL 80, NIS on host & client |

| DirecWay's remote addresses changed for its Navigator local services ports 2464 and 6599 and I did not have the addresses in my firewall. Problem fixed when new addresses added . This allowed UDP's to come in to Navigator which contained SERVINFO.INI data and the NAG returned too. -- SRS|G4R|1370H|4.0.3.9|PROXY|Tweaks|Win98SE|IE6 SP1|128m |
