white collar crime

I think the problem is that there is no punishment for doing business without ethics. If you happen to be caught you will probably not do any time, and if you do go to prison, it will be a "white collar crime" and time will be served in a "country club" prison.

If the punishment would fit the crime then maybe business people would think twice and chose not to do that.

Re: white collar crime

Everyone lost most of their saving into stock market scam, just don't continue to buy into their crap. What's gone is gone. A fool would continue believe their BS because they have their heads so buried so deep in their books that even a good guy like me, who's trying to do them a favor still don't do anyone any good. We taught that we should look out for ourselves and mind our business so that they can take advantage of bran washing the mass into their scam.
I hope that it does get better in the future that people would get smarter, and that I don't alway have to here to look out for them. If you don't care, no one is going to either. It doesn't have to be like this.

Re: white collar crime

20 years ago, it was the lazy, blue collar union worker who was blamed for the failure of American business.

Look who's screwing things up now!

Hey! don't worry about it. The situation is completely handled.

I saw the President give a speech about this about a year ago. He was standing in front of a backdrop festooned with the words "Corporate Responsibility", and he spoke for almost half an hour.

If that doesn't put an end to this type of shenanigans, I don't know what will.
