 | Well I dont live in Maryland but in New Jersey and this sucks around 1PM today I kept getting disconnected then reconnected and then disconnected....... Its 8:35 right now ans so far no disconnects for about an hour or two. Called tech support and they said it was because my phone cord to the DSL modem uses an extension cord to get to the phone jack but why wasent this happening before but today. THIS SUCKS and now I cant get on MSN it says there might be a problem with there service or its my connection problem ARGGG!!!!! CAN anyone help me thanks |

There was an item listing scheduled maintenance in the Newark NJ area today... might have been your problem... It always pays to check the VOL scheduled maintenance page before calling in to tech support... |

Yes, except if it is a problem/failure you will never see on the status page. As you say the scheduled maintenance pages are fairly good, not imely but it is better than nothing. This problem in Baltimore is on going and T/S does not have a clue.
