Pings lower with raspppoe vs XP ppoe???????

I installed raspppoe again after using XP pppoe for the longest time. I did a tweak test after I installed rasppoe. The test showed my pings are 10-15 ms lower than xp ppoe!! Is raspppoe really helping my ping or could it be a false reading from tweak tester? If thats the correct ping great, but if not thats fine to. I would like to know regardless.Thanks.

It's almost impossible to decrease pings by doing something on your PC. But some people have found that yes. COuld just be time of day readings, could be coincidence etc. Pings are determined by a lot more then your PC. So who knows.

Thanks Bob. I just figured that XPpppoe may have been affecting my ping a little bit by not be optimized and that raspppoe was more optimized.

Just to add to this thread, I have two computers at home that's networked together via a simple hub and both sharing the verizon dsl connection. My main computer I'm using WinXP with raspppoe for connection and the other one I'm just using the regular pppoe in xp. I notice on the dsl speedtest that my main using raspppoe for connection is slightly faster then the other one. Seems raspppoe has a slight lower overhead compared to microsoft's pppoe so that could be what's happening
