Went to covad. Slightly better DL speed than I had with DTV, UL is a little less, but that's because I had to go to ADSL from SDSL. I'm not crazy about paying the $69.00 a month, but it's better than nothing, which was my only other alternative. I have a fixed IP (not static), but I can run a server and it works just fine. |

So far I have seen no obvious difference except when I set up the router. A fixed IP by Covad's definition means that you still use DHCP but you get the same IP address every time. |
