I agree. AOL is a great service for someone who has never had a PC, but for experienced users, it's too much overhead.
When I bought a PC for my father 2 1/2 years ago, he knew nothing about them. So, I signed him up for AOL, and then in a year, we found him a good ISP for about 12/month.
He's doing great now. He can resize, crop and edit photos, enter info into his own database, make banners etc.
AOL has it's purpose, but in my opinion, unless they change their price structure, it's only going to be for those who know nothing about a computer, or those who get it free with their computer. |
