Same here. There is almost no difference. Wonder why Linksys didn't put in 72Mbps Turbo mode like 11a WAP. At least that could had been acceptable for the time being.
By the way, will a firmware upgrade really push our wireless routers through the 100 Mbps barrier? Or we might have to buy a totally new product to get these speeds? What do you all think? [text was edited by author 2003-08-14 00:00:48] |

| reply to Asterix The latest firmware (1.30.7) has a option in Advanced Wireless to enable Frameburst. You can enable Frameburst on your WPC54G (driver version 3.20.21) by going to the device manager, view properties, Advanced tab.
Once Frameburst is enabled on both the router and the PC Card, you should see a significant increase in throughput (not 100 Mbps though). |
