 | I've been getting the fast busy signal intermittently with Vonage over the past several months. It seems like the problem happens more and more, to the point that I've hardly been able to even place a call. Tech support hasn't been much help. They told me to contact my cable provider about pack loss (which I did), and to upgrade the firmware on my router (which I did).
How did you check to see if the "port was forwardable"? |

 | reply to JohnnyG101 My P8 has this problem where it will fast busy. I try to redial and it's still fast busy. I unplug the DTA and plug it back in and it works fine. Annoying. |

I never had this problem (linux/iptables doing PPPoE over DSL setup), but it seems like a NAT boo-boo ? Have you tried to have your DTA-310 as the DMZ box ? Have you called P8 support ? |

| reply to akassover Check the IP of your ATA (pickup phone, push red button, dial 80# - the british lady will tell).
Forward port 5060 and 5061 UDP on your router to the ATA. See if it helps (solved my problem on the Linksys BEFSX41 - apparently the NAT table forgets entries every once in a while and then the ATA is not reachable for short periods of time) -- I am addicted to speed --- OOL speed that is --- ~Help find a cure for cancer~Proud Member Team Discovery |
