| reply to gheezer Nobody has mentioned COORS LIGHT yet. Mmmm, taste the urine that runs down from the Rockies.
But seriously, college kids live on that stuff. It's higher class than Natty Ice, The Beast, etc., and it comes in 30 packs. The only thing cheaper is a 40oz. of OE. -- ( `( ¯`( ¯`·._ Death Ring _.·´ ¯ )´ ¯ )´ ) - Visit Deathring.us for Drinking Games, Mixed Drinks, Hot-Or-Not, Girls, Games, Cheats, Hacks, Topsites, and AIM Utilities. |

| reply to gheezer I'm all about Boddingtons (hands down favourite) and Heineken (a great starter for an ale-prone evening).
I've never been big on dark beer, but of all the dark beer I have had, Guiness takes the cake. Too bad it's so heavy that it's like having a four-course meal in one single pint. I'm pretty fond of black & tans though...
Anyways, just my two cents, for what it's worth. -- Making life hard for others since 1977. |

| reply to gheezer I guess I'm just a simpleton....Budweiser is the best light, crisp beer in the world.....it's the rice
I don't like a heavy beer so the only canadian beers I like are Labatt Blue or John Labatt's "extra Stock". |

| reply to gheezer As many in this thread (suprisingly - shows the good tastes of the clientel!), I prefer Pale Ale's. I really like a nice, bitter, hoppy taste. Like Sierra Nevada? Try Saranac's Pale Ale. Close, but just a little better. Not sure why. Maybe cause it's cheaper Saranac has good brews all-around.
Like hoppy? Try Tuppers Hop Pocket. Dunno if it's still around, but man, that's a hoppy beer that'll buzz you up quick. Careful...
And great to see so many here liking Yeungling! A classic. Ya know it's one of the oldest breweries in the US...if not The Oldest? Good stuff - if you're close, do a tour. Neat brewery.
Generally, prefer Saranac. If have cash to burn - Grolsch. On a hot day where quantity matters, I step down to Yeungling or Rolling Rock. At a bar where I dunno what they have, Sam Adams is my stand-by-brew. Having a simple tasting, or a dark beer to go with dinner, I like the classic Guiness. Mmm, beer. | reply to gheezer Gotta say that my favs have to be (in no particular order) Gosser, DAB, Kirin Ichiban Special Reserve, Two Brothers, Mad Anthony, and Red Stripe.
When looking for the best price/buzz ratio... nothing beats a warm CAMO 40. 40 ounces of 8.2% malt liquor for $1.79... even the most snobbish of us have to get ghettoed up once in a while. -- "We can't stop here... this is bat country!" -Hunter S. Thompson |

| reply to gheezer LEINKUEGEL's Oktoberfest, the beer that made Chippewa Falls famous. Honorable mentions- George Killian's Irish Red and Genesee's Cream Ale. Not to be forgotten, Schlitz, Pabst's, Ballantine (India Pale Ale, wow), Schaeffers and Stroh's.
