[614+] Interesting Configuration Changes

I was messing around with my network settings on my Ehternet card and discovered that if you hard set the media type vs. leave it to automatic the system name anomoly for short host names in DHCP renew goes away. Also, Windows XP discovers an internet gateway device. My WAN activity seems snappier and my LAN activity is near 20% faster than before.
