| Megapath is getting hammered!
We're in the process up turning up a 15-site managed VPN with AT&T but can't get off the ground because Megapath has disabled ICMP traffic on their entire network! Did they get hit THAT bad or were they not prepared to deal with the aftermath?
I was on hold for over an hour and a half, only to be told that my SLA says they can do this "whenever we need to" and this does not qualify for any reimbursement, per the SLA.
Up to 3 days 'till it's fixed?!?! Sheesh...
FWIW, this has cost me money. I'm pi$$ed |

I've never had a problem with Megapath in nearly 3 years; they have been excellent IMHO up to this point, I would give them a break here for a couple days until they get this worm mess cleaned up... |

| reply to tigereyez My connection is a bit better today 08/27/03but still only half of what I normally get. The hold times for support are unacceptable though. I was a bit pissed after being on hold for 80 minutes, for someone to basically tell me that they are aware their is a problem, it could take 2-3 days to fix, and you have to wait. Megapath's network Status page is turning into a short novel lately. I really hope they can get the issues resolved promptly. I've always been a big fan of them. I just think they're overwhelmed. |

| reply to tigereyez tigereyez, I imagine that is quite a PITA. I'm experiencing erratic network performance myself right now. So I feel your pain. All I can say is that I've been with MegaPath for three years. Their network has been solid as a rock for the vast majority of that time.
Hang in there, if you can. In my experience: MegaPath is an excellent ISP. |

| reply to tigereyez Yeah I too have had megapath for about 2 years now, and I have not had a single problem. Always on and always fast. And tech support to me is one of the best in the business. I had pacbell dsl for like 3 years and had nothing but problems with them and when you needed tech support, forget those guys couldn't fix anything, it was like they had people in tech support that they just hired off the street or something with no knowledge of computers. Anyway yeah my DSL was pretty darn slow the last week or so, but that was due to the worms and viruses, which megapath I think has worked out now. So give them time and a break they have always done a great job so cut them some slack.
