Re: DJ License in NY I love how people don't read the actual examples given of punishment for driving with a DJ.
Know what? I don't even know why I bother to try to help people. Christ someone asks a question, they get the right answer, and don't listen anyway.
Maybe I should just stick around the watercooler.

I guess this explains why insurance rates are so high for drivers under 25. |

Because women read their license restrictions
Statistically, women tend to have fewer accidents. |

yeah, but in some cases mommy and daddy are paying so kids don't realize the implications of breaking the law. -- Hope is the denial of reality - Reality used to be a friend of mine. |

Yep. And the insurance companies probably figure that by the time you reach 25 you'll be paying your own insurance - so you'll learn the law. |

However, police officers I met have no knowledge about this restriction. I asked officer at Greenpoint station and he told me that I can drive alone as long as I have a driver license.
As bklynite said, it's illegal and if You get caught, there won't be any excuses and can result in license suspension or termination for a while.
Driving can be fun, but beware. I'll turn 18 very soon, so I don't worry. Also there are new laws requiring new drivers under 18 to meet certain criteria before getting a license.
