 What is Motives SmartBridge? (motivesb.exe)

Norton keeps telling me this is trying to access the Internet. The last time I used Spybot I removed it. What is it, anyone know?

No, it wasn't motivesb.exe I removed, it was something called WildTangent. But nonetheless, I'd still like to know what Motive SmartBridge is.

Did some searching, found it here: »www.realmarket.com/news/motive080300.html

The Verizon installation must've placed it there. Apparently it's used for client problem resolutions. At least, that's what the site says. God only knows what Verizon truly uses it for. Some obscene form of spyware?

Motive Communications, hmmm that press release could be an instruction manual on obfuscatory jargon.

Anyone who goes to such lengths to avoid speaking in plain language should IMHO be treated with suspicion.

Anyway see here, scroll down to MotiveSB, it's not required you can disable it in msconfig.

from what i can tell it's a thing from at&t or just a program for corproations in general to tell what you are doing on your computer. motivesb or smart bridge or wild tanget is a spy ware program, and should be deleted as soon as possible. its a good idea to go to www.pestpatrol.com or spysweeper and down load the free program get them to scann your computer and get ride of all spyware. if you have anything from gator or the above names you will have more. so scann your computer and get ride of them.
