| My favorite scene[s] in the very first movie was where Heston does his "Get your hands off of me" speech.
And then his last speech in the film when he realizes that he was on earth all along [near the statue of liberty].
Also the scene were he sees his buddy stuffed in the museum.
I liked all the P.O.A. movies, even the new one.
But sadly IMO they failed to live up to the book, though the last movie's ending was closer to the book then any of the other P.O.A. movies.

Interestingly enough my favorite scene was before Heston and friends found the apes when they were talking about why they took on a space mission knowing they wouldn't come back for hundreds of years. To me that sets up the whole irony of the situation for Taylor. He hates humanity, then lands on a planet where humans are put in their place (according to how he saw it in the beginning), then finds himself preferring humanity again. Classic sci fi stuff.
