i dont know
i downloaded the steam client installer
i think it was like 578mb or something like that
and it found all my cs stuff and changed the cache and stuff (it took a while)
then steam was in the task bar and i started it and clicked on games then on CS
then a screen came up saying updating CS
then it said ready to play in 345min
then in about 10 min it went to 60min then up to 90min
so then i had to leave and i left

I add cs01 as my favorite server. After I launch Steam, it pops up a menu. I click on "server", and double-click the cs01 server in "favorite server". It takes about 20 second to connect to cs01.

If I click on "game" after launching Steam and then select "counter strike". It shows a menu of "preparing to play counter strike". That process sometimes work but more often does not work (my criteria is no more than 2 minutes, or I reboot).

Launching and exiting steam can sometimes take 1-2 minutes. "Control-alternate delete" sometimes shows Steam not responding. Ignore it. It will launch or exit. Just be patient. If you happen to choose "end task" in exiting steam, Windows will freeze and time for reboot again.

I have never rebooted my PC so many times in a day. But I have it working to play 1.6.
