| IPSEC issue with a Efficient 5861
Hi I hope someone can help. I'm using BT Openworld;s Business service with a USB Intel Modem. I have been given by a work college has old BT Openword Router. (Has he has left the problem) Following some online guides I have been able to wipe the router and get it working with my current settings and it works great a part from one problem. I can do any VPN / IPSEC traffic. It seems that the router need to be upgraded to support this via a Key. I know that the router used to do that before I wiped it. Reason I wish to change is I really need two PCs VPNed into my Company network Has anyone got any ideas on how I can get round this? Details: DSL Server is Standard Business USB service with 512kb connection and IP Address. Using VPN Tunnel both to a Nortel CVC and Cisco VPN Box. (These both work fine via the USB Intel connection). Im iusing a Efficient 5861 Router with Firmware version 5.3.80 Running on Windows 2000. (Router is set-up for DHCP and surfs the web fine)
Many Thanks Patrick |

| You have to enable it for multiple VPN tunnels.

A configuration element has been added to the NAT page to enable or disable NAT passthru, for the support of multiple VPN PC clients.

| Not exactly, the keys are required if you want to use the router as the VPN server and do all the encryption.
The passthru setting will allow the GRE through to a VPN server on your network. -- The BT EN5861...A ferrari with wheelclamps! |
