| Yep, there is a working example of it on this link, just check out the first image in the thread. »BZ Kerio 2x Default Replacement Update "Windows Services Block: This blocks standard NT services which should have nothing to do with the internet." -- My hourly rates: $25 per hour. $35 per hour if you want to watch. $45 per hour if you want to help. $75 per hour if you tried to fix it, and failed. |

| reply to planet I love that ruleset. I'm getting new machine soon with xp and have added to my rules from there and exported them to floppy. I notice on your rule set that you have ports 135, 445 and 500?? for xp services block. Is it 500 or 5000?

| Its 500, and 5000(UPnP) is easily turned off, its not even as huge as a threat as it was made out to be. However you could add 5000 to that list, but once you do the task below, it won't be listening anymore. You don't even need those services.
Start -> Run: services.msc In the properties of these services, stop, and disable them. SSDP Discovery Protocol, and Universal Plug n' Pray. -- My hourly rates: $25 per hour. $35 per hour if you want to watch. $45 per hour if you want to help. $75 per hour if you tried to fix it, and failed.
