In order to encourage searches, I'm thinking of this minor design change to the navigation bar. If you have a strong opinion either way about it, post why. If it was implemented, any and all lhs navigation on any page would appear with this addition. [text was edited by author 2003-09-23 19:36:51] |

Because people don't look lower down when they come to a new site (and want to find something). Check the home page of amazon etc.
I wanted to make it a "box", not integrated into the vertical column, hence the little bit of white space. But I can try it without that gap. |

I like it. It definitely draws your eye to it, although the gap between the search box and Members really should be tighter (for cosmetic reasons).
Other than that, I really like it. --

 | reply to justin omg... can't believe you did that so quickly. search just keeps getting better and better
implement! implement!

The new look is excellent. I think it should be put up site wide. -- [BBR]raw America's Army BBwc Enemy Territory clan founder |

| reply to justin Looks good..but I would have liked it better if the "search" was above the icons. I don't especially like have to mouse over the search feature just to "click" on the icons..just my opinion Edit: Also I think the icons are much more difficult to notice on the sidebar.. -- Anticipate Nothing...Expect Everything [text was edited by author 2003-09-23 19:44:35] |
