I have gotten the same e-mail as the rest of you. I've just finished talking to an MSN Tech about this; Your contract will end on Nov. 12th of 2003.

I know nothing of law, but I would think that if they are allowed to break contract with you early without penalty, then you should be allowed to break contract with them without penalty.

hey guys the date is nov.12th and I dought if I go with bellsouth becouse you have to pay up front nothing is free if Im going to have to pay them for a modem Im buying my own they want 100$ for thiers upfront if you sign up for a year they'll give you a rebate after 12 mo. which sux in my book!!!!!!!

Disappointed with MS

@198.85.x.x
I was informed that I will not be able to get out of my contract without paying a percentage of the balance due. I do work in the legal field and I don't think this is eithical or legal.

Re: MSN broadband no longer available in my area??

No offense intended here but this makes me wonder. If it was not ethical, why did you sign it or otherwise agree to it to begin with? If you did sign, or or in some other fashion agree to the terms, then I have no doubt that it is legal and binding. IMO ethical and legal are often not synonymous.
