| Winter projects ??
Anyone got any winter projects to keep mind and body active over the LOOONG winter ???
Mine are ;
1) Get in shape (yeah that has been my winter project for the last 10 years and never materializes)....
2) Upgrades to my Vette (electronic ignition, disc brakes up front, interior & seats need some work)
3) Try to learn a new 3D graphics app (Lightwave, Truespace, OpenFX, Blender...don't know which one yet)
4) Reduce my VHS collection by converting some of them to DVD |

| reply to 34140721 My winter project is to learn how to ski. I Went skiing once when I was younger and it left a bad taste in my mouth because I got hurt pretty badly. | Blender's interface intimidates me .... Looks a bit akward, but I hear good reviews of it, especially since it's free yet as powerful as Descreet's 3D Max !
Know of any good tutorials for it...just modeling and texturing for now...no animation.. |

| reply to 34140721 There's a couple of good books available:

| Offhand I can think of a corvette or some other car to start with. The folks over in the 'Avatar/Graphics Help' forum are really good though in coming up with ideas and new avatars.
